The Scientific Council of the Éolien en Mer SIG met on 21 October 2020. Due to the health crisis related to the Covid-19 pandemic, the meeting was held by video conferencing.

The following discussions and decisions took place:

• Discussion and approval of the process of setting up the SIG’s own studies;
• Definition of confidentiality time scales for monitoring the effectiveness of ERC measures, the SIG’s own studies and their respective data;
• Discussion of the 2 studies to be carried out by the SIG, mentioned in the prefectural decrees of 26 February 2019 authorising the construction of the Dieppe Le Tréport offshore wind farm. These studies will focus on 5 gull breeding sites and bat genetics;
• Discussion of the environmental DNA study on seal faeces;
• Positive opinion on a SIG partnership in the OWFSOMM project;
• Discussion of other studies to be introduced in 2021 and in the years to come (fish stomach contents, stable isotope analyses, environmental DNA analyses in plankton).
