Launch of the food web study

Following the Éolien en Mer SIG’s call for projects, a consortium of several laboratories, coordinated by Jean-Philippe Pezy of the Continental and Coastal Morphodynamics (M2C) Joint Research Unit (UMR) 6143, will carry out the food web study prior to the construction of the Dieppe Le Tréport offshore wind farm.

The study will assess the impact of the wind farm on the ecosystem as a whole. If species leave the area or new species become established in connection with the arrival of new substrates such as wind turbine foundations, food webs will be impacted and reorganised. It is therefore important to understand the food webs in place prior to construction to see how they change with the arrival of the wind farm.
