The first meeting of the Éolien en Mer SIG Scientific Council was held on 25 June 2020. Due to the health crisis related to the Covid-19 pandemic, the meeting was held by video conferencing.

This first meeting was the occasion for the election of Robert Lafite and Frida Ben Rais Lasram as Chair and Vice-Chair respectively of the Scientific Council.

At this meeting, the following decisions were taken by the members:

• Approval of abstention from voting by members involved in projects submitted to the Scientific Council for its opinion;
• Reservation on the OWFSOMM project and waiting for further details to vote on an opinion.

Discussions also focused on potential studies to be set up by the SIG and identified the need to draft a process for setting up the SIG’s own studies.
