Results of the 2022 annual report on the monitoring of breeding gulls on the Caux cliffs

The first study launched by the Éolien en Mer SIG in 2021 involved the monitoring of breeding gulls at five natural sites: Bracquemont, Berneval, Belleville, Cap Fagnet and Cap d’Antifer.

In 2022 a major avian influenza epidemic caused the death of hundreds of gulls and prevented ringing to avoid the spread of the virus.

The production of young birds has dropped to a poor level for all colonies.
